To commemorate the 17th Charter Day celebration of the City of Baybay, the City Assessor’s Office will unveil the updated iTax System, advancing from Versions 1 and 2 (stand-alone) to Version 3 (web-based). This upgrade encompasses Real Property Tax Records Management, Transactions, Appraisals, and Assessment, along with Real Property Tax Collection for the City Treasurer’s Office.
The Provincial Government of Leyte developed and completed the iTax version 3 in two weeks. The developer of  the iTax version 3 then installed the necessary applications and encoded date on the computers of the City Assessor’s and City Treasurer’s offices for the installation and launching of said version of iTax. The City of Baybay has been using the iTax system since the implementation of the Schedule of Base Market Values Revision 13. The current data being used will just be migrated to the new version.
This enhancement allows taxpayers to settle Real Property Taxes and request assessment documents online via the city’s partner merchant, providing convenience especially for those unable to visit Baybay City Hall in person. The City Assessor, City Treasurer, and personnel from the Provincial Government of Leyte coordinated with the manager of LandBank Baybay branch to establish the account necessary for online payments. System Requirement Specifications were also submitted to facilitate the integration of LGU Baybay City and LandBank for online transactions.
iTax Version 3 is set to improve the operational efficiency of the City Assessor’s Office and the Real Property Tax collection process of the City Treasurer’s Office. The City Assessor’s Office, alongside the province of Leyte, will continue to enhance and update this version, as well as other Real Property Appraisal and Assessment schemes, to better serve the people of Baybay City.
Baybay, a progressive and resilient city with a healthy environment.
