IV. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

At BCICH, a total of 3,226 patients, comprising both in-patients and outpatients, benefited from the Medical Assistance for Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP) program provided by the Department of Health (DOH). This program has been instrumental in ensuring that those in need receive the necessary medical care and support, significantly alleviating the financial burden on our patients and their families. These patients had no out-of-pocket expenses or zero billing, thanks to the comprehensive coverage provided by MAIFIP.

V. OTHER RELEVANT ACTIVITIES

From March 13-19, 2024, the hospital hosted a surgical mission focused on cleft lip and cleft palate repairs. A total of 61 children from Baybay, neighboring towns, and as far away as Samar benefited from this mission. The entire surgical mission was generously sponsored by Medical Mission Matters, ensuring that all procedures and associated costs were fully covered.
